WAVERLY HILLS
APRIL 2017
Check one off the paranormal bucket list. I finally got a chance to go to the infamous Waverly Hills. I had so many expectations of the world most haunted tuberculosis hospital. We were part of a ghost hunt weekend put on by Ideal Event Management. The guest investigators included Josh Gates, who unfortunately had to leave on Friday so I did not get to investigate with him, Steve Gonsalves, Amy Allen, who's flight was cancelled due to weather and could not attend, John Zaffis, Dustin Perry and a couple local psychics. The Ideal Event crew did a great job at trying to organize the event but there where simply too many people there. It had to be well over 150 people, and although it is a large place, it was still difficult to investigate without tripping over someone. I had such high hopes of having a personal experience. One of my teammates did see a shadow figure go into a room about three doors down from where we were. We followed it into the room and there was no one in there. I saw for a split second the face of a small child in the open air area. Both of these things happened on the 4th floor. I did attempt to do EVP and almost all of the audio is contaminated from all of the noise generate by the other people there. There are a few bits that seem separate from the usual noise but I'm still reviewing those. Video was contaminated as well. We were there from 10:30 P.M. to 2:00 A.M.. We spent the first two hours on the 5th and 4th floors because we were told not to go below those and no one told us at any point that we were free to roam. We finally made our way down to the 3rd, 2nd and finally the 1st where the morgue and body shoot were located. We did walk all the way down to the end of the body shoot where the Bama Boys where investigating. They agreed that there just didn't seem to be much happening that night. They weren't able to get any evidence either, even the spirit box was quiet. All in all it was an amazing experience to just be present in the building and as we all know ghosts don't work on cue. Hopefully I can plan another visit back and just simply rent the building to myself for the night.
